The Total Wine project was a design-build by the Hodgdon team including providing architectural services, managing the design team and City coordination. The Hodgdon Group also coordinated the lease documents and scope of work to provide a turn-key project for the landlord and Total Wine & More with a single point of contact. “The City of Laguna Hills and the entire team at Total Wine team was great to work with from lease negotiations through store opening," said Aaron Hodgdon.
In addition to the work for Total Wine, the Hodgdon Group acted as the master broker, fee developer and general contractor for the Ashley Furniture HomeStore and the Chick-fil-A site. “This project has been an excellent opportunity for our team to provide clients with turn-key real estate services from initial concept to store openings. The array of in-house services we provide, including construction, is quite unique."
BBR Architecture, lead by Nick Hawkins, served as the tenant improvement designer for Total Wine & More with Wright Engineering designing the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems. Nadel acted as the overall project architect.
The project is located at 24001 El Toro Road in Laguna Hills where the Hodgdon Group renovated a former Circuit City building and expanded it to make way for a fully-remodeled 51,000-square-
