Health Executive Seminar Set for Sept. 28th at St. Barnabas

Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.), Aug. 28, 2012 – “Laughter May Be the Best Medicine, but How Do I Log it Onto the MAR” will be the focus of a Health Executive Institute seminar on Friday, Sept. 28 at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road. The seminar is free and open to nursing home administrators, personal care home administrators, department managers and human resources personnel. Seminar speaker is Dr. Jane A. Dotter, Primary Instructor and Module Instructor at Geneva College and President of D.F. Corporation. The seminar topics will include:
•   Assessing your sense of humor
•   Recognizing the side effects of humor
•   Discontinuing obstacles and dispensing healthy guidelines
•   Designing a support plan to incorporate humor

“Laughter May Be the Best Medicine, but How Do I Log it Onto MAR” will begin at 8:00 a.m. with registration. The seminar will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served. HEI seminars, arranged by St. Barnabas Health System, are submitted to the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and the Department of Welfare for four continuing education credits.  HEI is sponsored by Cura Hospitality, a dining services and hospitality provider.
