GeoClique for iOS Version 1.2.0 Available in the Apple App Store - Free for Everyone

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 8, 2012 - Users of  the GeoClique social network are getting a nice surprise delivered to them this week from the Apple App Store in the form of a newly revamped GeoClique for iOS application.  This release marks the next major enhancement to the application since entering the App Store originally in April of 2011, and its developers are so excited to get it into everyone's hands that they're making the app now free to download.

GeoClique for iOS is a full-featured native client interface to the GeoClique online social network service that allows users to post photos and video links as well as status updates while out and about with their mobile device.  While the "geo" part of GeoClique is still being integrated, users can currently enjoy viewing location information for those who have checked in through the website. Future release plans include the addition of full location-aware check-in support right from within the application.

GeoClique co-founder and developer of the iOS application, Brian Richmond (@webguyatwork), says of the new release, "We felt that the previous App Store version, 1.1.3, had enough significant stability concerns to warrant a total rewrite from the ground up. The result is a much more stable application with quicker response times and a lot of new features that were added along the way."

The upgraded native iOS application boasts many new features:

* Support for iOS 6 as well as the taller screens of the new iPhone 5
* Large photos in all streams
* Like posts from the main stream, like comments
* YouTube and Vimeo video linking
* Inline maps for displaying check-in posts
* Various alignment fixes to keep text and photos from overlapping each other
* Many more...
