St Louis Auto Inspection Company Owner Goes Behind Bars to Raise Money for Charity

Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Steven Paul, the owner of Test Drive Technologies, a St Louis Auto Inspection Company, is going behind bars to help raise money and awareness of the Muscular Dystrophy Association this fall.

This weekend, Test Drive Technologies Auto Inspection Services agreed to partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to participate in their St. Clair County MDA Executive Lock Up event being held Wednesday, November 7th, 2012.

In a recent statement from Test Drive Technologies Vice President of Operations, Amy Paul says this. “Steven has been known for wanting to give to a great charity and he finally has the opportunity to do something fun and raise money for a great cause," she continues, “Steven has agreed to be ‘locked up for good’ to raise $1600 for the MDA before November 7th. We are matching all donations dollar for dollar and will make our final contribution on the day of ‘lock up”. In a brief interview, Steven the President of Test Drive Technologies said, "The team at TDT is always happy to help out charities where we can make a difference. Just donating $100 helps a youngster get the support and counseling they need to keep fighting. I am honored to have been called and I am more than happy to do some time in the slammer for the kids."

A little about the event: The Lock-Up is the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s premier fundraising program. These high-profile events occur all across the country at various times throughout the year. Business and community leaders agree to be "put behind bars for good," where they utilize use their vendors, co-workers, family and friends to get donations that will go toward their “bail.” Each Jailbird has weeks to raise their donations. That way, on the day of the Lock-Up event, they can enjoy the Lock-Up experience by networking with other business leaders and meeting with the individuals and families that they’re helping in their community. All funds raised by the MDA Lock-Up assist the Association in providing lifesaving research, a nationwide network of medical clinics and accessible summer camp experiences to individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
