PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 28, 2012 - SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT S.A. is a fully Greek company that excels in the global energy storage and power supplies sectors, faithfully following an export orientation strategy, which can be proved by the continuous acquisition of new projects and the conclusion of new partnerships worldwide. The company, which is classified among the 50 largest Greek industries and posses one of the most advanced industrial production units in Xanthi (Northern Greece), contested successfully for projects and co-operations in Malaysia, Brazil and Singapore.

In Malaysia, SUNLIGHT was selected as a strategic partner for the construction one of the largest autonomous-hybrid power supply systems globally, providing batteries of high quality and reliability for stand-by use. At the same time, SUNLIGHT began a strategic partnership in the field of advanced technology batteries with FULGURIS, a leading company of Latin America on industrial batteries, something that will lead to many important projects on the area. Finally, for the first time the company concluded a business co-operation on the Singapore market on the motive power (traction) batteries sector, thus furthermore strengthening its presence to the dynamic markets of Asia.

These new deals are fully incorporated to the strong exports orientation of the company, with 98% of the production of Xanthi's factory being exported and with 80% of the annual turnover coming from it. Today, SUNLIGHT is one of the most important players in the international markets, with autonomous entrepreneurial presence in 9 countries, while being one of the top Greek exports companies, with its products and services being delivered in 100 countries worldwide.

The company's Managind Director, Mr. Konstantinos Lafkas, made the following statement: «We are proud that SYSTEMS SUNLIGHT S.A., a fully Greek company, in a really difficult period, is exporting with great success the Greek know-how, innovation and experience. Our objective is to keep on enhancing our position in the international market by signing new deals and proving actively the potential and liability of Greek companies on the requirements of international markets».

The result of this exports strategy is that on 2011 the company continued its growth, maintaining its sales and strengthening its profitability. In particular, for the total of 2011, the turnover of SUNLIGHT reached €115 mil., while the operative profits before taxes, interests and amortizations (ΕΒΙΤDΑ) amounted to € 7,3 mil. increased by 35% comparing to 2010.

The course of the company is expected to be equally dynamic during 2012, having as an objective the increase of its market share, with sales predictions reaching € 120 mill. and € 10 mill. in ΕΒΙΤDΑ.
