Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Sunday, September 9th at 6:30pm, the Pleasure House location of Mannino's Italian Bistro will open for a special event to raise funds to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Academy, located in Virginia Beach.  The dinner will feature a four course menu designed and prepared by two of Hampton Road's top rated chefs, John Mannino of Mannino's and Edward Storey of Bardo Edibles and Elixirs, with both Italian and Asian themed dishes.  Wine pairings will also be featured with each course.

The Chesapeake Bay Academy serves students with Other Health Impairment (OHI), ADHD, and Specific Learning Disabilities, enabling them to transition to appropriate educational or career settings.  They employ individualized learning plans and practices for these children with alternative learning styles.  When asked why he felt so strongly about assisting the CBA with their fundraising efforts, Chef John Mannino stated "If these kids can't get an education that accommodates their differences and challenges what will that mean for their futures?  We are thrilled to help any way we can."

The Chesapeake Bay Academy Dinner will be held at 1608 Pleasure House Road in Virginia Beach, and reservations can be placed by calling 226-0019 or 497-6200, the cost is $75 per person.
