The initiatives were carried out during the holy month and were successfully completed during Eid Al Fiter as part of an integrated campaign entitled “Ordonona Gheir … Feena Al Khair”. The campaign refreshed the Jordanian and Arab authentic values and acted as a motivation for spreading our benevolent spirit while emphasizing the importance of good deeds such as feeding the poor, honouring parents and helping others.
The campaign was revived by the company’s staff who volunteered to spread the spirit of giving and sharing. The initiatives included distributing around 4000 water and dates packages at several traffic lights and mosques in Amman, Jerash, Zarqa and Ma’daba, and cleaning public areas and distributing hundreds of bin bags in King Hussein Park, Bahrain’s King Forest, and Amman National Park.
The company continued the campaign by distributing around 2,000 food packages to several charitable organisations in Al-Baqa’a, Jerash, Irbid, Mafraq, and South Vallies in addition to the capital Amman. Additionally, Umniah distributed 400 prayer chairs to 20 different mosques for the elderly in collaboration with the Awqaf Ministry in Naour, Sahab, Sweileh, Northern Hashmi, Tla’a Al Ali, Marka, Qweismeh, Hay Nazal, Jabal Al Taj, Ras Al Ein, and Jabal Al Natheef.
Umniah prolonged its initiatives until the last week of Ramadan which included distributing around 1,000 gifts for the children at charitable organisations and orphanage centers in addition to Al Balad and the Northern Hashmi aiming at spreading the joy of Eid. The kids were also entertained and enjoyed cartoon characters as well as face painting and balloon shaping.
Moreover, the company ensured to maintain its communication with the Jordanian society through offering a number of artistic and entertaining community activities at Souk Jara’s 2012 initiative. Umniah provided several acts in Souk Jara such as Hakawati scenes, guitar performances, and supported the Jordanian talent Subhi Masalme who participated in the former edition of “Arabs Got Talent 2012”. Umniah also distributed Ramadan drinks and dedicated special acts for the kids such as balloon shaping, face painting and distributing gifts for the children.
