Belatrix Sponsors Software Gaming Event in Mendoza, Argentina

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 27, 2012 - Mendoza, Argentina – Earlier in August, Mendoza and Belatrix Software Factory played host to hundreds of software gamers, development companies and government and academic community leaders, as part of the Mendozas’ first Gaming Convention. Belatrix Software Factory, a leading global Nearshore Software Development firm based in Mendoza, sponsored the event, as part of its effort to support the Mendoza software industry and attract new engineers to join its team.  Belatrix helps its clients develop next generation software applications, including those geared to the Entertainment industry.  
The conference attracted well known Argentinean gaming professionals including Andres Chilkowski (ADVA President), Alejandro Andrés Iparraguirre (Codenix, VgMap, Digicero), Juan  Linietsky (ADVA and Codenix Founder), Luciano Vairoli (Killabunnies  Partner) and lots of other gaming enthusiasts.  Attendees were drawn to the regional event to learn how the gaming trends are evolving and which tends are likely to be hot in the months and years ahead.  The conference agenda included sessions on "Animation, Technology and Development,” "Music in Videogames," "Entrepreneurship in the Videogames Industry."  One Mendoza university unveiled a new educational initiative designed to train engineers (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs) in video games, animation and digital art, further arming Mendoza to participate in this growing sector.
Over 600 people took part of the event in the major auditorium of Mendoza, most of them students, young professionals, developers and gamers, in general.  The event represents Mendoza’s first success in boosting the local gaming industry.  Belatrix not only participated as sponsor, the firm also raffled off a next-gen music device to visitors who stopped by their booth.
