Aug. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- (HOUSTON) - Recognizing the fact that Houston schools have been forced to get by with ever-shrinking budgets, dwindling resources and less than normal community support has motivated business leaders like Phil Dvorak with PODS® of Greater Houston to step up and offer a helping hand to local educators and students.

For the past three years, Dvorak has donated more than 20 PODS® containers to the Katy Independent School District, saving them over $41,000 annually. The containers are currently being used throughout the district to store sporting equipment at football stadiums and athletic facilities.

“The school systems need to allocate their resources toward the programs that need it most so students may have the best education experience possible,” Dvorak said. “As a business owner, I feel that is my responsibility to lend my support in any way I can.”

As a successful business entity in Houston, PODS Houston is passionate about giving back to the community that has given them much success. Since making its way into the Houston market, the leading moving and storage company has contributed to countless charities and events. In 2012 alone, PODS Houston has already donated services for American Archangels, Chevron Houston Marathon, Houston Liberty Festival, Homes for Our Troops, Boy Scouts of America, The Society of Samaritans and Camp Hope.

“We are so grateful to have a business like PODS Houston in this community,” said Debbie Decker, Katy Independent School District athletic director. “Their generous contribution to our athletics program has ensured safe-keeping for most of our student athletes’ equipment.”
