The five day per week program for youth ages 5 through 13 years old includes daily supervised homework sessions and leadership training along with the academy’s award-winning martial arts, character education, and bully prevention curriculum.
Transportation will be provided to its facility from local schools in towns including Marion, Wareham, Rochester, Mattapoisett, and the surrounding towns.
“We are really excited to expand on the amazing success our youth students have experienced with the addition of our after school program,” said Nexus owner, Stephen Whittier.
According to Whittier, a former University educator and best-selling author, the program will place as much focus on each developing the skills for each child’s future success as on learning and mastering the martial arts. He states: “There’s really nothing else like this. Not only will parents know where their children are spending their time after school, they will also know that their kids are getting their homework done and, more importantly, learning invaluable leadership and life skills.”
