Just earlier this month, Vernell played the “Red Sea Jazz Festival” in Tel-Aviv, and will return to Europe at the end of October with Kenny’s "Seeds From The Underground"
Brown’s appearance at Lake Las Vegas October 6, 2012 will be an opportunity for his local fans to see him perform live! A Steinway Grand Piano will be provided by Southern Nevada Music, and the renown artist will be accompanied by some of Vegas’ favorite players: John Nasshan on Drums, Kharon Harrison on drums, Kevin Lyon on guitar, Bruce Oliver on bass, Roy “Doc T” Turner on percussion, and will feature the incredible vocals of Windy Karigianes and Brittany Brown.
Vernell Brown Jr, is best known for his original, contemporary jazz compositions, and artistic performances.
A child prodigy from a musical home, Brown began playing drums and piano at age 4. By the time he was was a teenager, he was signed to A&M Records by the legendary recording executive Jerry Moss, where he released two albums, A Total Eclipse and Stay Tuned. He has recorded consistently since 2003, adding VBT, Letters and Do You Really Love Me? to his solo discography.
Over the years, Brown has collaborated with jazz greats the likes of Benny Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Sample, Marcus Miller, Ernie Andrews, Stix Hooper, Herb Alpert, Will Jennings and so many more. Recently, Vernell has recorded and toured extensively with Ronnie Laws, Kenny Garrett and Gladys Knight. His career has taken him from his birthplace in Los Angeles, California, throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, to the most prestigious performance venues worldwide.
