SPRING | Community Power and Corporate Responsibility | Sustainability Professionals Dialogue Event

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 27, 2012 - Businesses and organizations are always looking for ways to translate their high-level corporate responsibility strategies into more engaging, grassroots initiatives that can demonstrate their social and environmental commitments. Community power presents a particularly interesting opportunity in this regard. With the rising acceptance of community-based financing vehicles like social bonds, and favourable regulatory environments such as Ontario’s newly revised Feed-In Tariff Program (FIT 2.0), now is a good time to explore these developments.

SPRiNG would like to invite professionals from the sustainability, environmental and corporate responsibility spheres to attend a special roundtable dialogue and networking event on topic. The event will feature Robert Wakulat (Wakulat Law & greenTbiz) and Christine Koenig (Koenig & Consultants Inc.) who will introduce the topic. Following that, participants will be encouraged begin a dialogue to examine the critical issues and ideas that have been raised. The event will be facilitated by James Watson (Beausoleil Sustainability Solutions).
