North East Taxi Firm Calls Upon Local Businesses To Help Our Local Heroes.

Aug. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Seventeen year old Stephanie has secondary autism and severe learning difficulties but with courage determination and strong family support has excelled in her sport.
Stephanie who lives with her two parents Richard and Caroline in Blaydon Tyne and Wear says that “Without Dean Taxis help she would not have been able to attend training or get to College”
Since Dean Taxis offered their support Stephanie has added to her extensive medal cabinet by bringing home 2 more silver medals from the INAS European Athletics Championships in Gavle Sweden and now is placed top 10 in the North East, including able bodied children for the 100m relay.
Richard Moore her father commented that “Durham Council made it possible for Stephanie to compete in Sweden; Gateshead council didn’t want to know”.
It’s Stephanie’s ambition with the help of her trainer Paul Smith, former Paralympics champion to beat the British record next year in the world championships in Prague. Eventually Stephanie has her sights set on coaching other future possible Paralympic stars, “supporting our future stars is what it’s all about”.
Though Stephanie’s parents are very grateful for the support Dean has offered they are desperately struggling to meet the ever increasing costs to cover training, dietary requirements and travel to competitions.
Richard Moore also commented “Without Dean Stephanie wouldn’t have been to Sweden or Manchester, I don’t know where she’d be to be honest”.
Dean Taxis hopes that, even though the economic climate is bleak, local businesses can help support Stephanie. “She is a community treasure and it is our duty to help where we can”.
