Xi Quarterly Announces Inaugural Issue Launch Party

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 27, 2012 - (Chicago, IL) XI Quarterly has announced they will host a launch party Thursday, September 6th 2012, celebrating great soccer literature and launching its own contribution to exploring soccer's pathways in North America with the release of its inaugural issue, "Coming to America." All soccer fans are invited to share an evening of events at Cleo's Bar and Grill in Chicago featuring XI founder and former Section 8 Chicago Chairman Tom Dunmore, who will be on-hand to discuss the contents of the inaugural release.


“Knowing the editors and founders of this publication, I am certain XI will maintain a high standard in its artwork and provide captivating soccer content from around North America,” said XI issue one contributor and Section 8 Chicago Marketing Director Marty Groark


The event will be held in conjunction with Section 8 Chicago, the Independent Supporters' Association for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club.


"Fire supporters' unparalleled devotion to supporting soccer in Chicago made them a perfect fit for partnering on this XI Quarterly launch event," XI Founder and Editor Tom Dunmore said.


Five dollars of all proceeds from sales of issue one at the event will be donated to Section 8 Chicago's annual contribution to the Chicago Fire Foundation, the charitable arm of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club.

Also showcased at the event will be a Soccer Literature Swap. Attendees are encouraged to bring soccer previously read soccer-based books and magazines and trade their own with others to help spread a love of the beautiful game and its stories from around the world.



There is no cover charge for the event, and all attendees who RSVP will receive a special gift pack from XI Quarterly and Section 8 Chicago.
