Zombie Burger + Drink Lab partners with Des Moines Zombie Walk

DES MOINES – (August 27, 2012) – The 4th Annual Des Moines Zombie Walk is set for Saturday, October 13th at 11 AM. Zombies will assemble at the Zombie Burger + Drink Lab 300 E. Grand Avenue Des Moines, IA 50309. The event raises money and needed items for Central Iowa Shelter & Services.

The event continues to be family friendly. The zombie walk gives fans of the macabre a place to support their community.

"I'm passionate about two things, zombies and helping my community.  The Des Moines Zombie Walk brings out those creative and kind citizens and gives them a time to shine, or ooze depending on how you look at it,” said Gary Wickering, walk organizer. “It's sure to be a day everyone looks forward to each year as we continue to infect more and more kind-hearted, tasty brained Iowans."

Prepare for all day bloody fun with the Zombie “Bizarre” kicking off at 11 AM. Come down early and get your makeup done, browse the vendors, play some games, listen to some music, and have some food and drinks.

Start and ending at Zombie Burger, the stumbling begins at 5:30 PM. Zombies will make one stop at Nollen Plaza for a group photo and then continue through Court Ave. and back through the East Village to Zombie Burger. Stick around and keep the fun going.

The undead party continues with Sub Sonic Social hosting the official after party at 9 PM in People’s Court. Have a few drinks, show your creativity in the costume contest, and dance your brains out!

Get registered at www.centraliowashelter.org. Zombie Roamer kits start at $15 and Zombie Horde Packs start at $25. Early registration rates are available until Sept. 17th.
