Hridesh Sagar of KPMG recommends online learning mode at IMT CDL

Aug. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Hridesh Sagar is a successful professional employed with KPMG as a consultant for the last one and a half years. He has a total work experience of four years. He is a B.Com (Hons,) from Delhi University and also holds a Diploma in Banking & Finance. He wanted to pursue an MBA degree to support his job role and for future growth but did not have the option of quitting his job for an on-campus curriculum. He discussedInstitute of Management Technology Centre for Distance Learning (IMT CDL) with some of his colleagues who were enrolled in courses at IMT CDL and also seniors at KPMG who were aware of the college’s reputation. Based on their feedback and suggestions, he joined PGDBM in Finance in the online mode.

The three year MBA, which is often perceived as too long by some aspirants, came across as an advantage and investment to Hridesh. He believes the third year is additional experience that IMT CDL offers as compared to the other institutions. Hridesh is also appreciative of the course structure and feels that the strict deadlines at IMT CDL for assignments and project submissions are necessary for the course to be effective. Hridesh is experiencing the learning helping him do his job better, especially the last year he spent on finance.

Hridesh recommends online learning mode with fervor. He found that whenever he missed classes, he had the option to go back to the website for recorded lectures. He also found the on-campus faculty interaction very helpful and flexible. He opted for online exams since he was constrained for time all through the course duration. “It becomes difficult for us if we are working and giving offline exams, so this option of studying online was quite useful to us, as were the recorded lectures that were made available over the website”, shares Hridesh.

Talking about the advantages that IMT CDL brought for him, Hridesh says, “In terms of market value its better than other institutes. Second, the institute fosters professionalism and strictness, which is good for the guys who are working because there is no scope of being lazy here. Third, IMT CDL attracts working professionals and that itself raises the bar on performance and the environment becomes conducive to learning and sharing”.
