Lear Capital Group hosts Charity Comedy Night

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 26, 2012 - Lear Capital Group an innovative global investment house with a focus on the emerging markets of the Asia Pacific based in Tokyo, Japan; held a Charity Comedy night at the company’s Headquarters last Friday, the 24 August, 2012. The event which featured up and coming comedians from the local area was for charity with all the proceeds from ticket sales and takings on the night being distributed to various charities in the Tokyo region as well as some of the profits going to the Japanese Earthquake fund which is still helping families that lost homes etc in the Earthquake of 2011.

Lear capital groups Spokesperson said on the event “There were several ways that we invited local businesses and local residents to support and be recognized at this most worthwhile event, these included:

- purchase tickets to the event for family, friends, and co-workers
- become an electronic ad sponsor
- donate an item or certificate to be Auctioned on the night

Over 15 local comedians gave their evening to the charity and all had a 5-10 minute slot, the award at the end of the night for the funniest comedian went to Johnny “Eyeballs” Jones who uses observational comedy as part as his act, including having a laugh at the expense of Lear Capital Groups President Mr. Donald Walker, who showed his sense of humor by going on the stage to be part of the act.

Lear Capital Group’s President Mr. Donald Walker had this to say about the event “I am really pleased at the way the event went, everyone had fun, which at a comedy event is the main aim, I took a little bit of banter from the comedians but I really enjoyed the night. I would like to thank everyone that has been involved in the organization of this event, also to all the people that sponsored it, as well as coming on the night and I would like to especially thank the 15 comedians that performed here in the name of the charity, they certainly made for a very interesting and comical night.”

The proceeds from the charity event will be processed over the next few days and then distributed to the nominated charities over the coming weeks. Lear Capital Group have also stated that they will match the figure that the event generated in profits.
