Matt Halpern Drum Clinic at The Music Store, INC., September 19th, 2012

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 25, 2012 - On September 19th, 2012 at 7pm the Matt Halpern Drum Clinic kicks off in full effect.   As a stop on the Mapex MyDentity Drum Tour, Mr. Halpern will be holding an hour and a half long clinic at The Music Store followed by a reception at The aloft Hotel (recently named the official hotel of The Music Store).  The clinic starts @ 7pm on September 19th and the cost of participation will be 2 cans of food to be donated to the Animal Rescue Foundation of Tulsa.

Matt will be highlighting his unique playing style, discussing his approach to playing complex rhythms while maintaining a solid groove, the importance of drum instruction, and how to coexist with band-mates on the road.

Matt is on the cover of Modern Drummer Magazine’s July Issue as well as being the 1st runner up drum clinician for 2012.  He’s highly regarded as a very active drum instructor and participant in the expansion of music education. In 2008, Matt founded Bandhappy the only online market place for live music lessons from musicians from all over the world. Matt is currently gearing up for summer festivals with Periphery in Europe.

Before and after the clinic there will be door prizes, raffles, special purchases and deals to be had.  Following the clinic all participants are invited to The aloft Hotel for a short reception and gathering with Matt.
