PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 24, 2012 - CHANDLER, AZ – [August 24, 2012]  — Chandler Center for the Arts is wrapping up their Free Summer Concert Series, sponsored by FastMed, in the coming weeks with its two final performances; Brian Chartrand and The Voce Project on Friday, August 24th and and the Territorial Brass Band on Friday, September 21st.

Chandler Center for the Arts has offered Valley residents a fun and free way to beat the heat this summer season, with a total of five concerts, all at no cost.

On August 24th, Brian Chartrand and The Voce Project will showcase their unique style of music influenced by the genres of jazz, folk, soul and country. This quartet is one of the best from the Phoenix music scene and they come to Chandler Center for the Arts with an intricate blend of percussion, bass guitar, electric guitar and smooth vocals.  This concert is one you will not want to miss.

Closing out the 2012 Free Summer Concert Series on September 21st is the Territorial Brass Band.  The band replicates the brass bands that played during the territorial period.  Dressed in turn-of-the-century costumes, Territorial Brass Band recaptures the golden age of the American town band.  This twelve member ensemble specializes in 19th century American brass band music, playing authentic arrangements from 1835 to 1912, and will include music from their new CD, "Arizona Mosaic," an official Legacy Project for the Arizona Centennial.

The 2012 Free Summer Concert Series has continued to appeal to audiences of all ages again this season, by reviving historical sounds and opening ears to styles never heard before.

Both remaining shows in the Series start at 7:30 p.m. and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

“We owe a big thanks to this year’s sponsor, FastMed Urgent Care, for making the sixteenth Annual Free Summer Concert Series possible,” said Chandler Center for the Arts General Manager, Katrina Pappas.  “It has been a successful and fun Summer Concert Series and we are looking forward to the final two concerts of the summer and being entertained by these highly talented and entertaining musicians.”

All concerts are free to the public.  For more information visit ChandlerCenter.org or call the Box Office at (480) 782-2680.
