August 24, 2012 - 1-800-PACK-RAT, a leading portable storage container and moving company, has teamed up with bestselling author, Norb Vonnegut, to inspire a storyline in his next thriller that prominently features the use of a 1-800-PACK-RAT container. They have opened a contest to allow fans, packrats, and all aspiring writers to submit a suggested storyline that details the use of a Pack Rat container for diabolical purposes or a picture of a 1-800-PACK-RAT container in a setting that may just become the subject location of Norb’s next thriller. Norb Vonnegut will pick one of the entries to inspire a scene in his next Grove O’Rourke novel.
Norb Vonnegut has written three O’Rourke financial thrillers, including: Top Producer, The Gods of Greenwich, and his most recent New York Times bestseller: The Trust. Janet Maslin of the New York Times writes:
Norb Vonnegut is the seriously underappreciated author of three glittery thrillers about fiscal malfeasance. This may not sound like a red-hot franchise, but he has made it one. With “Top Producer” (2009), “The Gods of Greenwich” (2011) and now “The Trust,” he is three for three in his own improbably sexy genre.
The top three entries will receive a $100 gift card and an inscribed copy of Vonnegut’s current novel, The Trust. The balance of the top ten entries will receive a $25 Lowe’s gift card.
