Shop & Share at Alex and Ani, Palm Beach to benefit H.O.W.

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and to help bring awareness to this disease, the H.O.W. organization is teaming up with Alex and Ani for Palm Beach County's 2nd Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day.
 
Aug. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and to help bring awareness to this disease, the H.O.W.-Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper-organization is teaming up with Alex and Ani in Palm Beach for Palm Beach County's 2nd Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day and Designated to Wear Teal, Friday September 21, 2012.  

H.O.W. and Alex and Ani Palm Beach (located at 150 Worth Avenue, Palm Beach) invite everyone in the community to shop Alex and Ani Palm Beach on Friday, September 21, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to benefit H.O.W.  A generous 15 percent of the total sales at this "Teal & Tango" event will go directly to H.O.W.   Beth Anderson and Kathleen Ashley are chairwomen of this much-anticipated Shop & Share event.  

Guests at the Shop & Share "Teal & Tango" event will not only have a great time shopping knowing proceeds will help local women fighting ovarian cancer, but there will be raffle baskets, goody bags, Tappas provided by Cha Chas, and entertainment.  Dr. Tayla Schwarzberg will also be in attendance and briefly update guests on some ovarian cancer research. A suggested $20 donation at the door will raise additional money for H.O.W. programs and services.  

Alex and Ani, LLC offers eco-friendly, positive energy products that adorn the body, enlighten the mind, and empower the spirit, designed by Carolyn Rafaelian and made in America. Rafaelian believes that every individual has a positive message to share with the world and by incorporating powerful symbolism and infusing(+) energy into each piece, Alex and Ani provides a vehicle for the wearer to express their individuality in an organic, spiritual way. Carolyn believes it is her life’s work to inspire her customers to relish what is unique and authentic about themselves,
drawing out the beauty that resides within.

H.O.W. (Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper), a program of Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc. was founded by the late Jacquie Liggett and is a nonprofit organization supports research in ovarian cancer by funding the Jacquie Liggett Fellowship; helps women with ovarian cancer in financial need through the Jacquie Liggett Angel Fund; presents educational programs about ovarian cancer and provides support to medical students interested in a career in gynecologic oncology through the Robert C. Knapp Medical Student Award.
