IMI Hosts Alumni Meet Delhi Chapter ‘Footprints’ 2012

Aug. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- New Delhi, 24th August 2012: IMI, one of the leading B schools in India, hosted its annual Alumni Meet Delhi Chapter - ‘Footprints’ 2012 at India Habitat Center to reconnect with its alumni. It was a perfect platform for former students to reminisce, network, get updated and reunite with friends around the country and the world.

“No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the bonding of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth”. Footprints, the Delhi chapter of the Alumni Meet convened with these thoughtful words. The Meet was flagged off with the lighting of the lamp by Dr.Pritam Singh (Director General, IMI), Dr.Satish Kalra (Dean -Alumni, Placement and Corporate Relations, IMI), Mr. B.S. Shantharaju (CEO - Indus Towers) and Mr.Rajiv Dhawan (Director Magotteaux and President Alumni Association, IMI).

The alumni were welcomed whole heartedly by Dr.Pritam Singh followed by a panel discussion on “Leadership changes in current scenario” which included Dr.Satish Kalra, Mr.Shantharaju and Mr.Rajiv Dhawan. They were also apprised about the recent developments of the college, the faculty body and the infrastructure.

Also, the April – June 2012 edition of the INTERFACE magazine was launched at the venue. This issue features a mix of views from alumni and professors & excerpts from the Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Prof. Kaushik Basu's speech highlighting 10 vital issues of economic rejuvenation for India.

Mr.Amanpreet Bajaj, Co-founder of Letsbuy.com, Mr.MonishSuri, Principal Consultant at PWC, Mr. Richie Madan, Executive-Director, Elixir, Mr.Puskhar Chauhan, Chief-Manager at ICICI, Mr. B. Vaidyanathan, Deputy Director, JK Risk Managers & Insurance Brokers Ltd are just few of the many eminent personalities present at the evening.

The amicable banter at the venue was reminiscent of the college corridors after classes. Many from the alumni took the opportunity to meet their favourite faculty members, who are fondly cherished even after all these years. The proceedings were followed by cocktail and dinner. The evening, organised by the IMI Alumni Committee met with an overwhelming response from the alumni and proved to be a grand success in the warmth of good company and great conversation.
