Prabhat khabar, a leading Hindi daily organized Prabhat Khabar Achievers Award 2012, incorporating a session on grooming and book launch of former Miss World Diana Hayden here on Sunday. The aura of Radisson Blu, Ranchi was all set with the presence of former Miss World Diana Hayden.
Grooming is a sum total of all elements that turns out us as an individual, said Diana Hayden. Burning the candles at both the ends, Diana believes one can bring success his home only through hard work and sheer confidence. Self learning is the best way to step the success ladder, she added. Talking about her book, “A Beautiful Truth”, The art of grooming, she added, “The book is a detailed version for personality development right from our looks to etiquettes”. Sharing her knowledge on art of grooming she divulged about the importance of posture, body language, eye contact, dress code, vocabulary, mannerism, etiquettes. She said, our eyes are the windows of soul, so we should always maintain the eye contact with our counterpart while talking, as it helps in proper delivery of message content.
Garb it right
Talking about the dress code Diana said, “Men and women need to maintain the minute details while walking down for a formal dealing, that includes texture, stitch, color, design and cuts of the attire. In the contemporary society accessories plays an important role in completion of any look, so one must maintain the line of completion, she added. One should choose the color and texture depending on their complexion which is defined as silver (cold) and Gold (warm) in grooming industry.
Body Speaks
Our body language and our postures always leave a remarkable impression on others, stressing on body language Diana mussed, “ we need to be confident enough while our conversation and always strive to sit straight maintaining the masculine and feminist demureness”.
Lexis
Correct pronunciation, stress and diction not only reflects our education but also reflects our confidence. Stressing on lexis Diana mussed, we should be positive and polite enough while formal and informal conversation and should never hesitate in using words like Thank You, Sorry and Please. She added, these basics help us to grow as a well-groomed individual.
