Lexington KY First Responders and Veterans Invited to Saddle Up on Sept. 8

Horses4Heroes' is holding a Hero Appreciation Day open house for First Responders, veterans and their families at Stable Meadows on Sept. 8.

Aug. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Horses4Heroes, one of the most successful equestrian support groups for the military is riding into Lexington, Saturday, Sept. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a special open house for law enforcement officers, fire fighters/EMTs, military personnel, veterans and their families.  The event, Hero Appreciation Day 2012, is being held at Stable Meadows, 2590 Jacks Creek Pike, Lexington.  Owner Angela Spiers said:  “This is a great opportunity for our local heroes and their families to come out and enjoy a fun-filled day of horseback riding, demonstrations, refreshments, games and special surprises." The event is free and open to any First Responder, service member, or veteran.

Founded in 2006 and based in Las Vegas, Horses4Heroes, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is making horseback riding affordable for, and accessible to, the heroes and their families in communities from coast to coast.  Through a national network of kid-friendly, family friendly facilities, the organization provides able-bodied, affordable horseback riding programs that emphasize fun and safe activities with horses, mounted and un-mounted for all ages.  Participants learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, make new friends, and develop a lifelong love of horses!  For more information visit www.Horses4HeroesUSA.com.
