New members to the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida’s Finance Committee for 2012 include:
John Hagen, Hagan owns and operates Alliance Financial Group in Fort Myers. As a financial representative, John’s role focuses on advising his clients regarding mutual finds, life insurance, long-term care, disability and health insurance programs. His career experience includes positions as Controller and Vice President for the Lennar Corporation, Accounting and Finance Manager for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Court Administration, and Controller and Accounting Manager for Chilton Publishing Company.
Curt Neary has been employed with Enterprise Holdings in Fort Myers for 16 years as a Group Controller in the following areas of expertise: accounting/finance, business administration, strategic planning, risk management, real estate and business ethics.
The current committee members include:
Peter Seif, an Early Learning Coalition board member since November 2009, is the President of Synergy Networks in Fort Myers. He was also recently appointed as the new Treasurer for the Early Learning Coalition.
Jason Himschoot, Esq. is a working partner at Condo and HOA Law Group, LLC where his main task is to oversee all civil litigation arising from contract disputes, real estate matters, construction defects, covenant enforcement and business-related litigation. Jason has been a member of the Finance Committee since 2008.
Brad Cherkin, of BB&T Wealth in Naples, has been serving as a wealth advisor for the past fifteen years in Southwest Florida. Cherkin was a special agent for the Northwestern Mutual life Insurance Company and a registered representative with Baird Investments for eighteen years in Pittsburgh, PA. Brad has been a member of the Finance Committee since 2008.
Richard Gregson, a retired airline pilot, has also been serving as a Finance Committee member since 2009.
ABOUT THE EARLY LEARNING COALITION
The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida is responsible for administering the School Readiness Program for low income and at risk children and families. They are also responsible for administering the Voluntary Prekindergarten program (VPK), which serves all four-year-old children in Lee, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties regardless of income. The VPK program is an entitlement program for all four year olds residing in the State of Florida.
The Coalition strives to enhance the quality of childcare services for children, families, early childhood educators, and community partners in Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties, with opportunities to positively impact the future.
