Aug. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS – The St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission (CVC) has awarded Smart City Networks the contract for the delivery of technology services, including networking, voice and data services, throughout the entire America’s Center Convention Complex.

Located in the heart of St. Louis, the America’s Center Convention Complex is comprised of the Cervantes Convention Center, the St. Louis Executive Conference Center, the Ferrara Theatre and the Edward Jones Dome, home of the St. Louis Rams.

The St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission selected Smart City Networks for its 25-plus years as a leader in the event technology industry and for its significant experience in providing top-notch, knowledgeable service to the meetings industry and reliable connectivity to NFL stadiums.

As the new technology partner for the America’s Center, Smart City Networks will work with the facility to enhance the improvements already made and upgrade the complex’s entire network infrastructure over the next year.

“The meetings industry is using technology more than ever before, and we want to be sure we keep the America’s Center cutting edge and connected through out the complex – from a trade show at the convention center to a Rams game at the Edward Jones Dome,” said Nicholas Langella, general manager of America’s Center Complex. “Smart City Networks has the expertise and capability to bring our network and services to the next level, providing a faster and more reliable Wi-Fi service across the entire complex.”

“We are honored to have been selected by the St. Louis CVC to provide the connectivity that today’s event attendees are expecting,” said Mark Haley, president of Smart City Networks. “In addition, we will bring to the facilities an enhanced focus on customer service, ensuring that visitors understand the capabilities available and working with event managers to best to meet a show’s technology requirements.”

Among the various technology services it will manage, Smart City Networks will provide wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, web casting, web hosting, video conferencing, private network options, custom security solutions and telephone service. Smart City technicians will also be able to easily control the wireless environment and quickly make changes to address capacity needs.
