By: Central North Carolina Atheists & Humanists In 2009, David Niose was elected as President of the American Humanist Association. But his contributions to the AHA started well before he became president. He joined the AHA board of directors in 2005 and immediately initiated a nation-wide advertising campaign to promote humanism. That campaign grew to include newspaper ads, television and radio spots, highway billboards and public transit signs. The campaign not only thrust the AHA onto the national scene as never before. It also has been immolated by other secular organizations around the country. Niose has appeared on many national and local media outlets speaking on behalf of the American Humanist Association and humanism in general. His TV appearances include Fox News, the BBC, and The Daily Buzz. Niose has written many articles for magazines and newspapers such as AHA’s own Humanist magazine, Lawyer’s Weekly publications, and Progressive Populist. (Central NC Atheists and Humanists is a Charter Chapter of the American Humanist Association - a non-profit organization.) End
