Aug. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- From her  ranch on Ambush Hill, in legendary West Texas, Sonja produced a stimulating adventure and misadventure book. Readers will be intriged with her no holds barred essays, worldwide travel adventures, and Texas ranch life. The book also contains highly personal information about Sonja’s experiences with husbands 1-4.

The Middle East, Egypt Culture, Nile River Facts & More

“Honk if you Married Sonja: The Travels and Essays of Sonja Klein” invites readers to experience fantastic adventures. Her  impressive descriptions of  her journeys to the Middle East, South America, Alaska, Asia’s Silk Road  etc.never reads like a travel guide. Sonja penetrates the heart of each country with her amazing insights. Each country’s religion, social  life, human rights, social consciousness, beauty and more are revealed and told just like it really is.

The description of the Temple of Luxor, located on the Nile banks, and it’s history is facinating. She reveals how the temple “...in a great state of preservation...”  was used by Ramses II and other Egyptian rulers, Christians, and Alexander the Great. Readers will learn about the religion of the sun worshippers and their survival after death beliefs.

Sonja’s account of her trip to the “rose-red” city of Petra, “the most famous of Jordan’s attractions” is striking. She approaches a robed Jordanian wearing ammo belts. He wanted to know if Sonja had horses and guns on her ranch in Texas which resulted in a short but revealing conversation between the two.

Alaska & McDonald’s

A little known fact Sonja learned about Juneau, Alaska’s capital city, is it’s the last U.S. capital city to open a McDonald’s. McDonald’s sold 17,000+ hamburgers the first day and people flew in from all over Alaska to buy them. Her book is chocked full of little-known amazing facts about what she learned while visiting different countries.

Ranching & Ranch Life in West Texas

Sonja’s tell-it-like-it-is book provides deeply personal insightsabout her ranching life, Texas culture, what a Texan really is. Included are the  wildly interesting Terlingua Chili Cookoff parties. The book’s sizzling essays such as “No Such Thing as a Free Dog,” “Bestiality” and many more will keep readers spellbound and perhaps shocked.

“Honk if you Married Sonja”  illuminates the human condition in all of its variety, including its joys, heartaches and humor. The book is a literary high quality jewel...a real-life work true to itself - not to be missed and a never to be forgotten enjoyable read.
