Myrtle Beach Kia Facebook Fan Wins Trip to Korea

Myrtle Beach Kia Facebook fan, Gina Keeley, won a trip to South Korea after entering the Kia Motors America Experience Contest.

 
PRLog - Aug. 22, 2012 - CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- In less than a month, Gina Keeley will be boarding a plane to Seoul, South Korea with seven people that she has never met before. Why? Gina and seven other Americans entered the Kia Motors America Customer Loyalty Contest and won the ultimate prize: a free trip to South Korea.

The contest, that stopped accepting entries in February 2012, asked Kia car owners to write a short essay about a Kia experience on Kia’s Facebook page to win one of eight spots to travel to the Kia Motors of America Marketing and Distribution Center of the Kia Motors Corporation in Seoul, South Korea.

“I didn’t tell anyone that I submitted my essay. I didn’t really think that I would win,” said Keeley. “Six months after I submitted my entry, I got an email that said that I was one of the eight finalists. I never dreamed that I would end up winning the trip to Korea!”

Gina’s winning essay:

"This will be short, sweet and to the point! I think our experience falls under all 3 categories: quality, service and loyalty! So as long as we're sharing the good news...I have to say our 2003 (yep, I said 2003!!!) Sorento is still going strong. Over 103,000 miles and only a few minor maintenance issues (that we're handled proficiently and professionally by our Kia Service Dept.) No plans of getting rid if her anytime soon....she's a keeper, a part of the family!! When the time does come to say good-bye (sniff sniff), you bet a brand new shiny Sorento will be the winner! Thanks for your service and quality...it's what keeps this family loyal to KIA!"  

Each winner receives a 5-day trip to Seoul, South Korea during the first week of September. During the trip, the winners will visit a KIA Motors Corporation showroom, a production plant, and get to experience the Korean culture.

On August 25, 2012, Gina will be treated to her own personal going away party thrown by KMA at the Myrtle Beach Kia dealership. In addition to Gina’s private party on the East Coast, Gina will fly to Los Angeles and meet the seven other nationwide contest winners and be honored at a banquet celebrating their win and departure to South Korea.

“My husband and I have had our Kia Sorento for almost 10 years and get it serviced at the Myrtle Beach Kia dealership,” said Gina. “Myrtle Beach Kia has truly been amazing and provides top-notch service.”

“My only expense for the trip was getting my passport,” said Gina. “Not only is this my first trip out of the country but my birthday is on September 16 so I am counting this as an early birthday present to myself!”
