Infotechnics Expand Operations to Meet Increasing Demand

Aug. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Infotechnics – the provider of innovative operational software solutions to the energy industry – has expanded its operations due to continued success and market demand.

The Aberdeen business was formed in 1999 by Technical Director Brian Pacitti and Infotechnics have seen considerable growth since with contract wins from global energy companies such as Iberdrola, E.ON Energy, Centrica, National Grid and Origin Energy.

Infotechnics core product is Opralog, an enterprise operational logging and reporting tool used to improve regulatory compliance and increase business responsiveness through safer and more efficient operations.  With the key drivers for many organisations now being process safety and asset integrity the demand for the system has continued to grow. 2011 was another successful year with a 40% increase in revenue and the company is on target to ensure another record year in 2012.

In order to facilitate growth and develop new markets the company has opened an additional UK office, in Warwick, England, and recruited new staff in both the Technical and Sales and Marketing departments.

Gordon Duthie joined the company in May and is working as a Sales and Marketing Executive.  Gordon graduated with a master’s degree in International Marketing Management at the Robert Gordon University in 2010 and has previous experience working in the oil and gas industry with a specialist supplier of marine and safety products.

The technical team was strengthened with the appointments of Jim Ross and Nabil Kabbani.  Jim joined as Principal Consultant after spending 34 years with Scottish Power in a number of engineering, business improvement and project management roles.   Nabil joined the software development team working as a Software Support and Development Engineer. Nabil, who has graduated in Honours Computer Science from the Robert Gordon University, also worked for Infotechnics during his industrial placement year as a Junior Software Developer.
