Aug. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Sociallybuzz announced its second annual Franchise Appreciation Day, which will occur on Saturday September 1st, 2012 as a day for franchise consumers to demonstrate their loyalty for quality products or services.  Top franchise participants, such as Jamba Juice, Cheeburger Cheeburger, Einstein Bagels, and Domino’s Pizza will be giving away complimentary items or significant discounts to consumers who show that they have checked in to the appropriate establishment through Foursquare, Yelp, Facebook Places or any other social media channels. Furthermore, the state of Nevada will officially recognize September 1st, 2012 as Franchise Appreciation Day.  Nevada Governor, Brian Sandoval, signed the official proclamation on August 20th, 2012.

Franchise Appreciation Day allows franchise owners to go beyond the typical advertising efforts by reaching out to loyal local consumers and offering items as an incentive to enhance their social media networks as well.    Andre Kay, CEO of SociallyBuzz says,

“After our first Franchise Appreciation Day, we received thousands of consumer inquiries showing interest in other franchises such as McDonald’s, Subway, Starbucks, Applebee’s and many more.”  

According to the International Franchising Association and Franchisingcost, the number of jobs filled within and because of franchised business is over 17 million and franchised businesses account for 14% of the private sector employment.  The direct and indirect economic impact of franchises spans to $2.1 trillion and over 828,138 are currently in operation.  

“The franchise industry goes beyond the United States as well.  According to a survey of the British Franchise Association and Natwest, the franchising sector in the U.K. created 73,000 jobs in the past year and the number of franchise units increased by 4 percent,” adds Andre Kay, CEO of SociallyBuzz.  

Franchise Appreciation Day encourages consumers to continue showing their support for franchise businesses beyond this annual one-day event.  This annual event is simply a stepping-stone in building and strengthening relationships between consumers and franchisees as a whole.
