PRLog - Aug. 22, 2012 - In light of the great success of previous trainings in India and a growing demand for public training, SGS is pleased to announce a five-day ISO 26262 functional safety training to be hosted in Bangalore, India on October 8-12, 2012, with the assistance of experts from SGS-TUV Saar, Germany. The SGS training program offers participants an in-depth understanding of the new ISO 26262 global automotive functional safety standard and will help attendees understand the various safety processes as well as legal responsibilities and what is involved to achieve compliance.

The ISO 26262 standard, adapted from IEC 61508, defines functional safety (http://www.sgs.com/en/Automotive/Electrical-Components/Power-Electronics/Vehicle-PE/Functional-Safety.aspx) for automotive equipment applicable throughout the lifecycle of all automotive electronic and electrical safety-related systems. Functional safety features form an integral part of each product development phase, ranging from the specification, to design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and production release.

Furthermore, SGS offers a wide range of solutions for training that include public training courses as well as modules for customized in-house training for clients.
