About Rosemary

Rosemary Nixon has always been interested in money concepts and money as a means to achieving goals, whether those of individuals, non-profit organizations, or businesses. Although she originally aspired to a career in government and earned a master’s degree in political science and public administration, she ended up serving as executive director of two non-profit organizations for ten years. Fund-raising, securing corporate and government grants and the management of budgets, were her focus as she sought to expand programs and secure support for new initiatives in each organization. After earning an MBA in finance, she went on the work for ten years as a commercial lender for various banks, lending to businesses for inventory, equipment, and acquisitions. She also taught classes in financing and managing new business ventures at two universities. After moving to Florida in 1994, she became a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors, (now Ameriprise), licensed for securities and insurance, and committed to financial planning with clients to achieve their personal goals.  

Recently retired, her philosophy is that money is just a tool to help people reach their goals. Used wisely, it is a gift. As in so much of life, we need to know where we're going in order to get there. The biggest obstacle to achieving our financial goals is usually ourselves. Her pleasure has always been in helping people to get where they want to go.
