GREENspot DROPoff, Inc. and The Motion Picture & Television Fund to Hold E-waste Event

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 21, 2012 - Woodland Hills, CA  August 21, 2012 :  GREENspot DROPoff, Inc. and California based Motion Picture & Television Fund team up to hold an e-waste collection event on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 8:30am to 1:30pm at its Wasserman Campus. Started in 1921, The Motion Picture & Television Fund is a primary resource for care and services, exclusively for the union and non-union entertainment community.

For each eligible item recycled at the event, GREENspot DROPoff will donate $1 to the MPTF. Eligible items include computers, monitors, laptops, flat screens and televisions.

According to the EPA, e-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in America and accounts for about 70% of our hazardous waste. To combat the growing problem, GREENspot DROPoff, Inc. has partnered with BAN (Basel Action Network) compliant recyclers. BAN regulations are by far the strictest in the industry, requiring recyclers to process all e-waste material domestically and maintain a zero landfill policy.
