PRLog - Aug. 22, 2012 - It took Larry E. Mc Cray 19 years to write the poetry in Lives of Love. “Everyone I shared my poetry with said how good it made them feel.” His eclectic collection of poems discuss most everything we face in life, from love and desire, to loss and unhappiness.
Lives of Love
According to the author, “The reason that I started writing in ‘93 is that everything that could possibly be lost, did get lost, and a Military Brat is taught to always keep your head up high, shoulders back and big boys never cry. With all that I lost and not knowing how to grieve, I was headed into depression. The first poem that I ever put on paper, ‘Doubt,’ came fully written into my mind and let me get in touch with my feelings, grieve for what I had lost, and get on with my life. Every poem in my book, except for three that were written by others, came into my mind fully written.”
Lives of Love is an unusual book with no beginning, middle or end. Its words may make you laugh or cry, make you happy or sad. But as with all great poetry, it will touch you in a most meaningful way.
