For this year’s edition, they will have The National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) performing for The Concert For Tranquility. The National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) reserves August 24 for the annual Kiran and Jagdish Khanna memorial concert.
The Khanna memorial allows free entry. "We do not accept advertising or sponsorship so there are no posters and banners to clutter your thoughts," said Atul Khanna.
This year, for the first time, the Concert is in Delhi instead of Mumbai. The Concert For Tranquility will be held on August 24, 2012, from 7.30 PM to 9.00 PM at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park, New Delhi. The Sadhya Group will bring alive the beauty, grace and energy of the five elements of life in the form of Contemporary Indian Dance, choreographed by Santosh Nair.
The Concert for Tranquility creates a few moments where one can be truly immersed in art. The Concert’s aim is to help the spectator come to peace with himself through the universal language of music. For the duration of the two-hour-long concert, all those who have been affected by either personal or shared tragedy come to common ground and find solace.
