Louisville Orthopaedic Specialists Launches Blog about Sports Injuries and Orthopaedic Conditions

Dr. Stacie L. Grossfeld with Orthopaedic Specialists is the brains, inspiration and energy behind this new blog.  A graduate from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Grossfeld completed her medical training in orthopaedic surgery through the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.  She also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Center.  

The primary goal of the louisville orthopaedic blog on the Orthopaedic Specialists website http://www.louisvillebones.com/blog is to be able to give people relevant and accurate information about a wide range of orthopaedic medical issues.  This includes information about common injuries, sports injuries, arthritis, injury prevention information, and orthopaedic surgeries.

Specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Grossfeld is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon.  She has experience giving top notch orthopaedic care for high school and college sports teams including the University of Louisville women's soccer team, the University of Louisville's women's lacrosse team, and Indiana University Southeast.  She is also one of three orthopaedic surgeons providing services including orthopaedic surgery to the Louisville Ballet Company.

Dr. Grossfeld's experience with sports medicine also comes from her own involvement in athletics. When she is not working as an orthopaedic surgeon at Orthopaedic Specialists, she enjoys playing tennis through the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and riding her bicycle. She also spends time in northern Wisconsin where she enjoys cross-country skiing.  

Dr. Grossfeld has a deep commitment to ongoing education and this focus extends to her own medical team, to her patients, and to aspiring physicians interested in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery.
