What Is HONcode?
Online health advice is a rapidly growing business, and while there are many excellent websites offering health and fitness advice, many are also marketing products and services which are not regulated. These often use aggressive sales tactics to sell products which have no medical or health benefit to the customers (commonly referred to as "snake oil").

The HONcode certification is an ethical standard aimed at offering quality health information, and they have declared that "The health Website MotleyHealth is in compliance with the HONcode".
The Future of Health and Fitness Advice?
Although you really cannot beat having a fitness instructor and dietician guide you in person, this unfortunately is not an option for so many people. The Internet provides a lifeline to those in need, and websites such as MotleyHealth are becoming central to this.
Jon's interest in fitness started in 1992 when he joined a kung-fu class at university. Over the years he trained in many styles and complimented his martial arts classes with weight training. To further improve the quality of information provided Jon studied health science with the Open University and has received a Certificate in Health Sciences.
MotleyHealth was initially started a hobby while Jon was working full time in the banking sector. However, in 2009 the changing world economy resulted in the relocation of his job from London to Glasgow and he was made redundant. It was then that he decided to end his 12 year career in banking to pursue his real passion full time. In the last 3 years the website has been transformed from a simple hobby blog into an internationally recognized digital brand that receives over 4 million visitors annually from all around the world.
