Team Ineka announces Nicole Forto to run in Willow Junior 100 sled dog race

Willow, AK-- Team Ineka announces the intentions of 15 year old Nicole Forto race train and race in the Willow Junior 100 sled dog race in February 2014.
 
Aug. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Nicole Forto of Willow, Alaska is training for the Willow Junior 100 sled dog race that will be held in February.

Forto, a sophomore at Houston High School has been involved in mushing and dog training since she was three years old. Her first race, a 100-yard dash at in Casper, Wyoming with her dog, Tamaya cemented her love of the sport.

"There is nothing more fun than hanging out and playing with my dogs all day," says Forto.

The Willow Junior 100 sled dog race is run on the trail system in Willow, Alaska. And is designed to assist junior mushers for their careers as dog drivers. The race has many of the same regulations, rules and gear as the "big" races such as the Knik 200, the Copper Basin 300 and even the Iditarod!

Team Ineka is a family run long distance mushing kennel in Willow, Alaska. The kennel is comprised of 30 Alaskan Huskies and Siberian Huskies with Neff, Baker, Osmar and Scheer lines.
