Aug. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- (Atlanta) – Now that a week has passed since the 2012 Olympics came to a smashing conclusion, has the glow dimmed? Were the London Games really “perfect in every way”?

Not since 1996, when ATR issued its first Grading the Games, has a city scored as well as London.

Editor Ed Hula says the London Olympics may not have been perfect – but they were darn close. Click here to read London Sets New Standard.

“While ‘perfect’ may be an impossible goal in the complex workings of the Olympic Games, we rate London an “A” in every category, even with the glitches that cropped up,” Hula says.

“Our grade of the Games is based on the experiences and observations of the Around the Rings staff in London as well as what people have told us about their time in the Olympic city. With comments from athletes, spectators, sponsors and federations, we based our scoring on a well-rounded perspective of the Games.”

London’s Games were scored across six broad categories: Atmosphere, People, Operation, Media, Venues, Sport.

“Next the sporting world turns its eyes on the upcoming Paralympics. Tickets sales are at unprecedented levels,” Hula said. “Now the question is – will London deliver again in the same stellar fashion?”
