A Taste of Monterey Supports Hope Center Monterey with Third Annual Pinotfest Beach Party
Monterey, CA – On Saturday, September 29, the second annual Pinotfest is being held from 6 to 10 pm at the newly renovated Del Monte Beach House in Monterey. There will be over 20 vintners offering tastings of their classic pinot noirs, with white and rose wines available as well. Along with one of the best views of the California coastline and superb wine tastings, there will be delicious tri-tip barbecue, beach party festivities, music, dancing, and a silent auction. The silent auction is made up of items donated by the participating vintners and various other businesses, with all proceeds of the auction going to Hope Center Monterey; a nonprofit food pantry whose mission is to provide people and pets in need with food.
The aim of Pinotfest is to present, highlight, and promote Pinot Noir wines of Monterey County and beyond. Monterey County is home to over 7,500 acres of Pinot Noir, the most planted red grape varietal. The varying soils and micro climates makes Monterey County very well-suited to produce World-class Pinot Noir. With its proximity to one of the world’s great Pinot Noir wine region, coupled with natural beauty and the area’s attractions, event organizers believe that Monterey a natural choice to locate a Pinot Noir-themed wine event.
The Hope Center Food Pantry in Monterey has been founded to provide groceries and pet food for our neighbors in need. The Hope Center Monterey is run completely by volunteers and we are the only food pantry on the Monterey Peninsula to provide pet food. We believe that keeping families together, with their pets, and fed, even in the toughest of economic times is the best way we can keep our community strong, happy ,and safe.
