Halloween favorite to be open Riverfest Day!
Newport, KY, August 2012 – The USS Nightmare will kick off the 2012 season with a special showing on Riverfest Day, Sunday, September 2. Built on a real steamboat, the USS Nightmare is annually one of the longest and highest rated attractions in the Greater Cincinnati area making it the area’s best Halloween entertainment.
Come aboard, if you dare, and be among the first to experience this year’s tour and the unveiling of a new special effect custom created by Distortions Unlimited to be featured on their Travel Channel series, Making Monsters. And, enjoy it all for a special Riverfest Day discounted ticket price of just $10 per person. (For even bigger savings, purchase online before Riverfest Day for just $8!) Ticket sales will begin at 3:30 p.m., and the show will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Then, make your way back to your spot for the viewing of the spectacular fireworks display marking the unofficial end of summer. Want to miss the mad rush and traffic after the fireworks? The USS Nightmare Landing Family Fun Center complete with Laser Rage laser tag, game room and snack bar will be open following the Big Bang!
After Riverfest, the USS Nightmare will be open on Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15 from 7 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with a full regular schedule running from September 21 through November 3. Regular hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday are from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday hours are 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. General admission tickets are $16 per person.
