IPCC 2012: Communicating Vision Conference

Aug. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The theme of this year's IPCC 2012 conference is Communicating Vision. Vision is, of course, one of the most important channels for communicating information, and we welcome submissions relating to all aspects of data visualization, information design, and best graphical practices, in all forms of print and electronic media.

The conference organizers welcome submissions in all areas of professional communication. Authors interested in contributing to threads relating to the conference theme may want to consider areas such as the following:

Communicating concepts with visuals
Principles of visual rhetoric
Design of data graphics
Usability studies of visually oriented documents and displays
Elements of page design and layout
Use of visuals in social media
Icon and logo design
Techniques for presentations and data displays using slideware (PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi)
The visual elements of human-computer interaction and interface design
Typography and font design
Mission and vision statements, and other expressions of organizational identity and intent
Business plans and other proposals laying out ideas for new enterprises
Student Poster Competition: In addition, IPCC 2012 invites students from all disciplines, at either the bachelor's or master's level, to submit posters representing projects in any area of technical communication. Prizes will be awarded at both undergraduate and master's levels.
