“I’ve done business with POP Cinema since 1998,” says Buffalo Screams’ 2012 Chairman Gregory Lamberson, “and I’ve worked with Paige on two DVD releases since then and interviewed her for my filmmaking bookCheap Scares. She’s one of the brightest professionals working in the distribution and marketing of independent horror films, and she possesses a wealth of invaluable information that the attending filmmakers and patrons of Buffalo Screams will benefit from - the talk she gave last year was a true highlight of the festival, and we’re excited to have her back.”
Since Davis ’s 2011 appearance at Buffalo Screams, POP Cinema has formed a new label, Independent Entertainment, which specializes in micro-budget genre films. According to Lamberson, this new imprint should be of special interest to the filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers attending Buffalo Screams. The label has acquired two films from the Buffalo-Niagara region, Sam Qualiana’s creature featureSnow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast, and Ken Consentino’s violent superhero riffCrimson:
