Highlights of Infiniti's sales for July 2012 include:
• The Infiniti G Sedan, with sales of 6,078, had an increase of 88.8 percent versus last year, making it the best July in the sport sedan's history.
• The brand's all-new 7-passenger luxury crossover, the Infiniti JX, saw sales of 1,999 in July and a total of 9,724 units since it went on sale in late March.
• Overall, Infiniti had its best July in seven years.
The efficient G25 and its sportier sibling, the G37 combined made for a record July with 6,078 sales. This was an 88.8% sales jump over July of 2011.
The new Infiniti JX led the way on the truck side of the ledger. The dynamically styled three-row crossover—proud possessor of a cabin that was named to Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2012 List —delivered 1,999 units in its first July of sales.
"The all-new Infiniti JX continues to bring new buyers into our showrooms, and the Infiniti G Line remains a strong contender in the luxury sport segment," said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas. "With our 'Limited Engagement Summer Event' in full swing, we are confident our string of month-to-month sales increases will continue."
Inifiniti sales are now ahead of last year’s pace by 20.7% through the end of July, with continued growth on the horizon. Helping matters will be engine transplants for two key members of the brand’s truck lineup. The 2013 Infiniti FX and EX will both welcome an advanced 3.7-liter V6 that gains both displacement and power as compared to the V6 from the current model year. And don’t worry, in addition to that 325-hp V6, the FX series will continue to offer the high-performance a 5.0-liter, 390-hp V8 in the high-performance FX50.
