Google’s philosophy of search changed the way we prioritize relevance on the web years ago. The simplest way to explain this is to say that they viewed links to a website as a vote for that site. Relevance had to be taken much further than what a page says about a company but to the level of what the internet says about a page. When a person links or references a page that is verifying that page as a source worthy of the time to link to. This is basically the philosophy that helped to develop the original pagerank concept that made Google the best and groundbreaking.
This is the philosophy that CGR brought to modernizing Alaglas for the web. Alaglas needed to move their focus from the one trick pony of ranking to the full marketing spectrum of conversion and viral growth over the long term. We created a sharable website with calls to action that are clear and provide a simple path from acquisition to conversion for their visitors. SEO was far more that ranking high and increasing the quantity of their opportunity to gain business. SEO for their project was to create clients that share and grow the audience for Alaglas Pools and provide a long term source of new and warmed up leads that trust their friend’s opinions before they enter our store. SEO and inbound leads acquisition is an exchange of time and money for opportunity. Social media provided Alaglas with a long term solution to getting referrals and building their brand while allowing them to spend time and money pursuing other avenues. Social media done right in the SEO model is a hands off long term net gain situation.
