Manufacturers can open a window of opportunity for possible profits by allowing employees the chance to contribute ideas towards more efficient ways of working which allows companies to make big savings and hopefully large profits in the long term. The Suggestion Scheme enables employees to get more involved with the continuous improvement of the business. By submitting their ideas through an online, browser-based process, their ideas can make their way to the Continuous Improvement Manager or similar, for revision and hopefully be implemented.
“An online suggestion scheme which can be hosted on a company intranet should cost very little to operate so compare those costs to the direct savings to be made by implementing staff suggestions. A return on investment in the region of three-to-one could be achievable.”
Alan France, Operations Director
Suggestions raised appear in core OEE for review, action and quick response to the employee. In addition, employees will be kept informed of any progress that their idea has made, giving them the incentive to continue raising ideas.

About the Idhammar OEE System:
It its most basic form, OEE provides a simple way to “keep score” of manufacturing performance. However, the true power of OEE as a dedicated application lies in the ability to use it as a change-enabler, or tool for lean manufacturing initiatives. OEE systems like Idhammar OEE, provide powerful drill down performance analysis that supports and informs continuous improvement and operational excellence programmes.
