However, Clayton Perlman has not spent the entirety of his life as a real estate developer. There was a period of time where he left real estate development in the late 1990’s and started work at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Clayton Perlman first started work at the New York Mercantile Exchange in 1998 and continued to work there until 2004.
Clayton Perlman worked at the New York Mercantile Exchange with a clerk’s license and while employed worked in Crude Oil and Natural Gas futures and option pits. While few people put much thought into how the trade process behind many of our highly used commodities work, Clayton Perlman got firsthand experience through his time spent at the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Not only did Clayton Perlman work as a clerk with Crude Oil and Natural Gas he also, “handled trade reconciliation operations for small hedge fund for an off the floor trading operation.” So, Clayton Perlman had many responsibilities while employed at the New York Mercantile Exchange. However, his career there was relatively short having worked there for only a 6 year period out of his total 26 year career today.
Most of Clayton Perlman’s lifetime has been spent working in real estate development where he has had over 20 years of experience. However, Clayton Perlman knows that every work experience adds the skill set that can be adapted to any work profession. Thankfully, today Clayton Perlman is back to doing what he loves as a real estate developer.
