Aug. 16, 2012 - Local Democrats will launch the 2012 Presidential phone bank season at the Democratic Volunteer Center (DVC) in Menlo Park. Phone banking is a key part of a grassroots campaign, and calling battleground/
swing states such as Colorado and Nevada can have a significant impact. The calling campaign kicks off on Saturday, August 18th at 9:30 a.m. with the focus on re-electing President Obama.
”The DVC is equipped to make the process easy and fun in an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie,”
said Mike Aydelott, Campaign Manager for the DVC. “Seasoned activists as well as newcomers are welcome to join us on Saturday and often throughout the campaign. A brief training session at 9:30 a.m. will be followed by making calls on behalf of the president.”
The DVC offers all manner of volunteer campaign activities on behalf of endorsed Democrats running for local, state and national office and in support of progressive California state initiatives. It operates in cooperation with Obama for America, President Obama’s grassroots re-election team, the Santa Clara and San Mateo Democratic Party Central Committees and local Democratic clubs.
