It happened that a Vessel named John Paul Jones, was lucky to have a fast rescue boat on its deck which is our ASIS RIB that has been assigned to resist all harms to rescue the mariner crew of the Liberian motor vessel Stolt Valor that was sinking in the Arabian Gulf due to a fire tragedy.
John Paul Jones the USS guided-missile destroyer vessel spotted from between the smoke of the burning Stolt Valor two life rafts signaling with a small light and launched urgently its rigid hull inflatable boat (ASIS RIB) to rescue. They rescued 16 people in the first life raft and an additional eight mariners in the second life raft.
“Coming to the aid of fellow mariners in trouble and conducting search and rescues at sea are critical skills that the Navy trains us to get right,” said Duffy. “I couldn’t be more proud of how our crews reacted from the initial distress call to when every survivor was safe on deck.”
In times of crisis like fire, these Rigid hull inflatable boats are very useful to help people who are in danger.
